Hi, I’m Mina!
I currently advocate for pilot needs throughout flight deck (aka cockpit) designs at The Boeing Company. For the past 2 years, I’ve lead user research and design that has informed product strategy for future innovations in the Flight Deck
I specialize in cracking complex systems and processes to create clean, simple and functional solutions, and I’ve had the pleasure of practicing this in all my past roles in aviation, education and architecture. At AI-Learners and EdTechLive, I helped start-ups create highly accessible designs that were meant to be inclusive of children with varying styles of communication and learning. As an Architectural Designer at Perkins&Will, I helped design the public spaces of the Swedish Hospital located in First Hill, Seattle, WA. In this project, I took on the challenge of transforming a building typology known for its sterile, white-clad walls and overall utilitarian design into a space that accounts for the mental health of its occupants by incorporating daylight, access to nature and intuitive way finding.
Fun Facts About Me:
I am a former competitive opera singer!
My favorite piece of furniture is the chair that I designed and fabricated while studying furniture design in Copenhagen for Architecture School - check it out here!
Like a true Seattleite, I love coffee and all the pastries that can accompany it :)
To the untrained eye, each step of my journey to UX sounds like a “past life.” From opera singing to Architectural Designing to UX Designing, these seemingly unrelated phases have all been intentional steps, each one moving me closer to my true passions.
